Dr. Henry Ealy contacted Dr. Martin to discuss an idea about the preservation of inalienable rights and what ensued was an enchanted conversation about something far greater. 

Something that became The Declaration of Universal Independence, which you can read below.

The Declaration of Universal Independence

We, the authors and undersigned, agree in unity with the scope, spirit, and intention of this declaration establishing universal independence for all.

Our status from the first breath after birth, until our final breath before death, is inalienable. Our status as human beings is neither transferable, nor capable of being taken away or denied by anyone. For to do so would be to deny the existence of Nature (ex natura) and the natural order that governs existence and life itself.

We, the People, recognize and affirm that the Inalienable Status we are born with, and the very miracle of life itself, is a precious gift worthy of steadfast protection at all times.

We, the People, recognize and affirm that our Inalienable Status precedes and supersedes all codified ‘rights’. For centuries, we have been led to believe that the pinnacle of our expectations of existence are ‘rights’ granted by would-be authoritative bodies, when in reality, we are born with something far greater than ‘rights’.

We, the People, neither need, nor seek the permission of would-be authoritative bodies to exist both peacefully and freely in the domain of Nature.

We, the People, hold these truths to be self-evident, that all People are by Nature equal, endowed with Inalienable Status from birth until death, and that our Inalienable Status is what entitles us to the Pursuit of Individual Life, Liberty, Comradery, and Happiness. Essential to our Inalienable Status are these Inalienable Conditions:

  1. Equivalence to life, liberty, comradery, and livelihood unrestricted from provisioning and unable to be infringed upon or revoked by any person, employer, public or private corporation, non-governmental organization (NGO), or government.
  1. The natural state to peacefully assemble, speak, disagree, freely express beliefs, and choose what is in the individual’s best interests, free from coercion or threat of punishment.
  1. The natural state to freedom of inquiry with assurance of veracity and ethical provenance.
  1. The natural state to exchange value and commerce with transparency, in honesty and good intention.
  1. The natural state to fair, equal, and unsegregated access to all derivatives of public goods and services.
  1. The natural state to exist pure and genetically unaltered, organically undefiled from birth to death.

It is our duty to individually, or jointly, protect our Inalienable Status and the Inalienable Status for all, including future generations, when it is threatened in any way.

Governments are instruments of the People, deriving their authority from the Informed Consent of the People, for the benefit of the People.

Whenever any Government as a whole, rogue branch of any Government as a part, public or private corporation, NGO, or elected or appointed official seeks to violate this implicit partnership by violating any of the aforementioned essential Inalienable Conditions, or attempts to lay the legal or financial groundwork to do so in potential or in actuality, then it is the Duty of the People to respond to the threat immediately upon awareness.

That all men are by nature equally free and independent, and have certain inherent rights, of which, when they enter into a state of society, they cannot, by any compact, deprive or divest their posterity; namely, the enjoyment of life and liberty, with the means of acquiring and possessing property, and pursuing and obtaining happiness and safety.

That all People are naturally afforded equal status by birth and that no state, society, compact, government, public or private corporation, NGO, or institution can defile, deprive, or divest their life or posterity; and all People are endowed with equivalent access to the enjoyment of life, liberty, livelihood, means to acquire, possess and enjoy tangible and intangible property and are entitled to means of individually securing their liberty and safety, and the liberty and safety of their offspring.

That all power is vested in, and consequently derived from, the people; that magistrates are their trustees and servants, and at all times amenable to them.

That all power is derived from the People and that any form of government, administration, or public or private corporation is at all times answerable and amenable to the People regardless of circumstances of calm, calamity or declared emergency.

That government is, or ought to be, instituted for the common benefit, protection, and security of the people, nation or community; of all the various modes and forms of government that is best, which is capable of producing the greatest degree of happiness and safety and is most effectually secured against the danger of maladministration; and that, whenever any government shall be found inadequate or contrary to these purposes, a majority of the community hath an indubitable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to reform, alter or abolish it, in such manner as shall be judged most conducive to the public weal.

That it is the obligation of the People to institute and uphold the government for the common benefit and security of the People such that the Inalienable Conditions may be manifest and that, whenever any steward of the public, in person or public or private institution, be found to violate the public trust, the majority of the community has an indubitable, inalienable, and indefeasible duty to remove that person or reform, alter, or abolish that public or private institution in favor of restoring the life, liberty, livelihood, safety, and happiness of the People.

That no man, or set of men, are entitled to exclusive or separate emoluments or privileges from the community, but in consideration of public services; which, not being descendible, neither ought the offices of magistrate, legislator, or judge be hereditary.

The stewards of the public trust shall be accountable to the People for whom they serve and shall receive no exclusive or separate privileges, titles, interests (financial or otherwise), or hereditary rights whatsoever so as to ensure that the public interest is the exclusive consideration of the stewards.

That the legislative and executive powers of the state should be separate and distinct from the judicative; and, that the members of the two first may be restrained from oppression by feeling and participating the burthens of the people, they should, at fixed periods, be reduced to a private station, return into that body from which they were originally taken, and the vacancies be supplied by frequent, certain, and regular elections in which all, or any part of the former members, to be again eligible, or ineligible, as the laws shall direct.

That the legislative, executive, judicial, and fiduciary powers of the state be separate, distinct, and balanced equally and that no favor can be afforded any person occupying any station of public stewardship either during their service, which shall be limited to no greater than 2 consecutive terms, or for a period of not less than one electoral cycle subsequent to their service. Public stewardship is not intended to be a career or life-time appointment. Public stewardship is intended to be an opportunity for service to the People and therefore must be limited so that a diversity of People and Ideas may enter into service for the benefit of the People.

That elections of members to serve as representatives of the people in assembly ought to be free; and that all men, having sufficient evidence of permanent common interest with, and attachment to, the community have the right of suffrage and cannot be taxed or deprived of their property for public uses without their own consent or that of their representatives so elected, nor bound by any law to which they have not, in like manner, assented, for the public good.

That the elected public stewards serve as representatives of the People and that all people acknowledge the common good for which taxation or public support is fitting and appropriate for the orderly functioning of public institutions that serve the public good.

That the elected public stewards, serving as representatives of the People, be of strong moral character, free from injurious acts upon others, and upstanding within their community, so as to routinely exhibit selfless tendencies, as well as overt compassion and care towards their fellow People.

That all power of suspending laws, or the execution of laws, by any authority without consent of the representatives of the people is injurious to their rights and ought not to be exercised.

 

That all power of suspending laws, or the execution of laws, by any authority without the express, considered, due process, consent of the representatives of the People and uncensored public comment by the People is injurious to the Inalienable Status and rights of the People and may not to be exercised except for extraordinary situations and may never exceed 30 days from the day of the initial declaration until the balance of power is restored.

That in all capital or criminal prosecutions a man hath a right to demand the cause and nature of his accusation to be confronted with the accusers and witnesses, to call for evidence in his favor, and to a speedy trial by an impartial jury of his vicinage, without whose unanimous consent he cannot be found guilty, nor can he be compelled to give evidence against himself; that no man be deprived of his liberty except by the law of the land or the judgement of his peers.

That excessive bail ought not to be required, nor excessive fines imposed; nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

That general warrants, whereby any officer or messenger may be commanded to search suspected places without evidence of a fact committed, or to seize any person or persons not named, or whose offense is not particularly described and supported by evidence, are grievous and oppressive and ought not to be granted.

 

That the cause and nature of any harm, property dispute, or crime be clearly, honestly, and transparently conveyed to all parties under the protection of due process and certified warrants, and that accusers and accused are accorded equal access to all evidence for a speedy trial by an impartial jury of peers, that access to justice be accorded without excessive cost or bail, and that no person can be compelled to give self-incriminating evidence or testimony, and that no immunity shall be granted any public steward, individual or corporation in the event their actions previously taken be found to be the cause of deprivation of life, liberty, livelihood, or the Inalienable Status of the People save in the case of the preservation of immediate security or defense against immediate local threat of death.

That the freedom of the press is one of the greatest bulwarks of liberty and can never be restrained but by despotic governments.

That freedom of the press and public communication is one of the greatest bulwarks of liberty and cannot be restrained by despotic public or private institutions and that all broadcast media be at liberty, if accessing any public or private network, including the Inalienable Condition of peaceful assembly. May this freedom of communication include participation on all digital or technological platforms for which participation comes at no financial cost to the individual or the People.

That a well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state; that standing armies, in time of peace, should be avoided as dangerous to liberty; and that, in all cases, the military should be under strict subordination to, and be governed by, the civil power.

That a well-regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained in arms and the deployment of armaments, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state; that the people’s ownership of arms and armaments shall be protected; and, that standing armies, in time of peace, should be avoided as dangerous to liberty; and that, in all cases, the military should be under strict subordination to, and be governed by, the civil power of the People.

That the people have a right to uniform government; and therefore, that no government separate from, or independent of, the government of Virginia, ought to be erected or established within the limits thereof.

That no free government, or the blessings of liberty, can be preserved to any people but by a firm adherence to justice, moderation, temperance, frugality, and virtue and by frequent recurrence to fundamental principles.

That in matters of commerce and trade, fair and transparent transactions shall be conducted by and between people without favor, influence, coercion, or deception; that regulation of commerce and monetary units shall be a public good for which elected stewards stand account with frugality, temperance, and virtue, and that indebtedness for the public good be limited to no greater than one hundred percent of the gross domestic product.

That no free government, or the blessings of liberty, can be preserved to any people but by a firm adherence to justice, moderation, temperance, frugality, and virtue and by frequent recurrence to fundamental principles.

That no free government, public or private corporation, NGO, elected or appointed official can impose the desecration or forceful violation of bodily integrity and sovereignty upon the people for any reason whatsoever and that no lawful public or private entity or person can do the same.

That religion, or the duty which we owe to our Creator and the manner of discharging it, can be directed by reason and conviction, not by force or violence; and therefore, all men are equally entitled to the free exercise of religion, according to the dictates of conscience; and that it is the mutual duty of all to practice Christian forbearance, love, and charity towards each other.

That religion, belief, or the duty which we ascribe to our Creator and the manner of discharging it, can be directed by reason and conviction, not by force or violence; and therefore, all people are equally entitled to the free exercise of all benevolent religions, according to the dictates of their conscience; that no schema, belief, or scientific convention can serve as the basis for the deprivation of the Inalienable Conditions of the People, and that it is the mutual duty of all to practice forbearance, love, and charity towards each other.

That all laws, rules, and proclamations, proposed or articulated by any public institution, be published for public comment and discussion, revised by the will of the People or their representatives, and enacted only after a public hearing of the same; that no law shall be persistently amended beyond six amendments; and, that no law shall be enforced if its reading cannot be completed in eight hours by a person of reasonable literary competency and at a reasonable reading pace.

All laws, rules, and proclamations proposed should have a constructive singular focus and offer no immunity from justice or restitution for any person, elected or appointed official, public or private corporation, or product.

That our borders shall enjoy the liberty of passage for goods and people of good will provided that they shall be subject to all of the laws and conditions set forth for transient or permanent intention of both the region they originate from, and the region find themselves within.

We, the authors and undersigned, assembled in General Congress, do profess the purity of our intentions. We, in the name of, and by the authority of the good People of the world, humbly publish the Declaration of Universal Independence and declare that we are Free and Independent Beings absolved from any and all allegiance to Governments, rogue branches of Government, public or private corporations, NGOs, or any elected or appointed official who violate their oath of office, oath of service, or oath to uphold the Constitution they are sworn to abide.

Any attempt to exert tyrannical control over We the People is a violation of our Inalienable Status that threatens our peaceful existence and Pursuit of Happiness.

As Free and Independent Beings, we proclaim the power endowed to us by Nature, and recognized as our Inalienable Status, is what confers upon us the power to be the sole arbiter of what goes into and upon our body. Additionally, for those People with children under the age of agreed upon adulthood, Inalienable Status extends to the guardianship of their offspring until such time as their offspring reaches adulthood and is capable of assuming the mantle of responsibility that accompanies adulthood.

We declare that neither We the People, nor our offspring, are the property of any Government, rouge branch of Government, NGO, public or private corporation, elected or appointed official to use at their surreptitious or capricious discretion.

We were born free, in gratitude to the millions of People who have come before us and made the eternal sacrifice to protect the Inalienable Status and Freedom we are endowed with by Nature.

We will live freely and take this pledge to support this Declaration of Universal Independence with the same resolve our ancestors protected our Inalienable Status and Freedom with.

This is a sacred oath we take, to pledge ourselves to something much greater than ourselves.

To pledge ourselves to each other.

To pledge ourselves to the duty of doing what is right and just.

And, to pledge ourselves to the duty of protecting the principles of Life, Liberty, Livelihood, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

This is our sworn duty, to eternally protect our Inalienable Status, the Inalienable Conditions, Compassion, Love, and Universal Freedom For All.
